TikTok is launching TikTok Scanning, a new service that identifies which sound recordings are suitable for scanning UGC (User Generated Content) videos to apply either a monetize or block policy.
Purpose:
Allows music to be available on TikTok even if it does not comply with all UGC requirements.
Ensures tracks distributed without scanning rights can still be included in TikTok videos but will not claim other UGC videos.
🚀 To improve track metadata and comply with the new TTS requirements, we have introduced two new of track metadata fields:
Track Origin to address the copyrights of the composition.
Track Properties to address the copyrights of the recording.
How to Update and Redeliver My Music to TikTok
1. Update your releases' track metadata by completing the two new track metadata fields mentioned above:
Navigate to your Distribution portal > Catalog > Releases
Select the desired release and
2. Once the updates are saved, re-distribute your release to TikTok only.
