How Do I Find My Spotify URIs?
How Do I Find My Spotify URIs?

Step-by-step guide to get your URI after the release date

Updated over a month ago

The Spotify URI is a unique identifier assigned to every artist, album, and track. In this article, we'll show you how to find yours for those artists, albums, and tracks that are already available* on Spotify.

Please follow these steps in the Spotify Desktop application (not the web version):

  1. Click to the three dots next to the artist name/album/track title

  2. Open the 'Share' menu

  3. Hold down the option key on Mac or the alt key on Windows when hovering over the share menu.

  4. Click 'Copy Spotify URI' from the second menu

You can easily convert Spotify URLs to URIs since both use the same internal code! Here's how:

URI: spotify:artist:EXAMPLE
URL: https://open.spotify.com/artist/EXAMPLE

Both links share the same ID: EXAMPLE

The only difference is the prefix: https://open.spotify.com/artist/ vs spotify:artist:

πŸ‘‰ If your release is not yet available on Spotify and you need the Artist URI to claim your Spotify for Artists account, check out this article: How to obtain Spotify URI before the release date.
