How to Submit Your Music for Editorial Playlist Consideration

Updated over a week ago

Editorial playlist pitching is the process of submitting your music to be considered for placement on curated playlists by various digital streaming platforms (DSPs). These playlists can significantly boost your visibility and streaming numbers.

To ensure a smooth and successful submission process, please follow these guidelines carefully:

Submission Deadline

  • All Editorial pitch forms must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the release date.

  • Submit your completed forms to: [email protected].

Eligibility

  • Your music must be distributed via Family in Music to be eligible for editorial playlist pitching.

  • Forms must be meticulously filled out. Any errors or missing information will result in automatic rejection of your submission.

  • Please note: Being eligible for submission does not guarantee that your music will be playlisted. The final decision rests with the editorial teams of each DSP.

Editorial Pitching for Specific Platforms

1. Apple Music/iTunes

  • Important Update: Apple Music has changed their pitching process, and we are currently unable to pitch to Apple at this time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

2. Amazon Music

3. All Other DSPs (Deezer, Tidal, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.)

Key Points to Remember

  • Read the Instructions tab carefully

  • Read the Best Practices tab to comply with each DSP's processes for a better chance of success.

  • Double-check all information on your forms before submission to avoid any delays or rejections.

  • Ensure that your submission is well in advance of your release date to allow ample time for consideration.
